“ What should my brand be thinking about in July to prepare for the holiday season?”
The number one thing that we are looking at for our clients right now is brand awareness. So how can we create even more brand awareness in July, August, September, even into October? That way when the holiday season arrives and consumers are basically pulling out their wallets ready to buy a service or product, their first inclination is that they purchase with your brand and not somebody else’s.
So right now, in the summer, that’s gonna look like pushing for some email list growth. We are doing that internally because we always have Black Friday offers that we put out in November. If you can grow your email list and grow your brand awareness, you will just have a bigger pool of people to sell to when time comes.
The other thing that I think is really important for brands to think about now is your messaging and your position.
That looks like asking yourself a few questions:
- What is your campaign going to look like?
- Who are you speaking to?
- What are the visuals going to start to look like?
Ideally, if we are gonna be planning a campaign for the holiday season that’s going to launch around Thanksgiving/Black Friday then we want to have those visuals planned out at the very least by September and shot by the beginning of October. That way you can create brand assets for your services and/or products. If you’re a solopreneur or you’re a very small business, I think you have a little bit of flexibility with time here. But I would start thinking about how you want it to look and feel now, so that way you can start putting little Easter eggs in a lot of your content and in your messaging. And then that way when we get to Black Friday, it all starts to really come together for your audience.
