There are so many things we CAN control when it comes to social media… the type of content we create, how we position our messaging, our branding, our consistency…

But we don’t control the algorithms. And even when a post is AWESOME… it doesn’t get seen by everyone it could potentially help and impact.

But do you know what IS guaranteed to reach someone? EMAIL! 📧 

Now, that doesn’t mean everyone you send an email to will open it. But whether or not they GET the email is not a “up in the air” – it’s guaranteed to land in their inbox. And YES- people DO read emails. In fact… more than half of adults check their email first thing in the morning. ☀️ 

One of the things I am most passionate about in my business is sharing the importance of building an email list. Email lists are something you OWN. Social media is borrowed real estate! What happens if IG was gone tomorrow? How would you contact your audience?

Here are three things you can do today to start building your list today…

2. Think about what you can offer (for free) in exchange for someone’s email address. Is it a coupon for free shipping? A PDF guide? A worksheet or planner? A freebie is also called a lead magnet- this is how you will get people to opt in and join your list.

3. Focus on adding VALUE– not just selling. When you email your list ask yourself, “how can I help someone today?”
