How to Crush Your Holiday Season

A lot of that spending will happen during Black Friday / Cyber Monday weekend (BFCM). Consumers are already making lists and starting to plan ahead. In fact, 40% of GenZ shoppers start planning their Black Friday two weeks in advance. 

Wallets are open. Where will they spend money first?

With your business, of course! Here’s how you are going to make that happen…

First, create a VIP list. Encourage your audience to opt-in for texts, emails or both (depending on your marketing channels) to get insider info and first dibs.

Give those VIPs a chance to shop your offers before anyone else.

Yep, you are making them the star of the show (or the star on top of your viral Home Depot tree. Don’t know what I’m talking about? Search TikTok. I’ve been influenced to buy it already.)

I have seen so many brands implement this strategy and it is SMART. It grows your email list, allows you to do a heat-check on if your audience is excited for your offer and gives you extra time to drive sales by starting the sale early for select people.

Here is how…

  1. Design an image for social media and keep it pinned to the top of your profile throughout the season.
  2. Create an opt-in form on whatever email platform you use.
  3. Share the link to form in stories and keep it as a link in your bio as well.

BONUS: You can use an automation like ManyChat to deliver the link directly to someone as a DM when they comment with a trigger word on your content.
